This photograph was provided with a tape measure next to it. Via digital editing, I was able to cut out a couple bits of the tape measure, and rotate them such that they can measure horizontal distances. I then dragged them over the image, and you can see that the top ruler measures 3/4" while the bottom ruler measures 1"
