How many of you remember these great old TV's? They were the furthest thing from cable-ready and required a bulky rooftop antenna or a quality pair of set-top "rabbit-ears" for proper reception. These sets generally were tube-powered to boot! Most had black and white screens. Although (very expensive...around a cost of $500 in 1957 dollars) color television was available. By 1960 most broadcasters offered color TV broadcasting. |
