While searching an old line in New York state yesterday, I saw this looking up at me at the base of a big maple tree.... I had previously found lots of broken Fred Locke porcelain fragments on this line but nothing whole.. I stopped for a moment and paused to contemplate the fact that this thing had likely been here since 1912 when the line was upgraded with larger insulators..I held my breath, grasped the base and pulled .... could it be whole???[id=191586920]
