This is a very scarce porcelain standoff it is embossed on one side "RED DEVIL" and on the other side "PAT APPL FOR" this stand off was made in two sizes this one which is 3 inches tall and the other size is 5 ½ inches tall. The purpose was to hold radio wires away from the mounting surface. It has a very small chip by one of the mounting holes. As a side note RED DEVIL was a COOK POTTERY TRADE NAME .
