Don't know quite what to make of this critter, must be some kind of bus bar or substation item. There is a wire groove on the base that exactly matches the top. The bottom is unglazed. The piece measures 3 5/8" high x 4 1/2" wide. There is a threadless pinhole that extends about 2 1/2" up inside. Color is a yuck brown with a little wear, nothing major. $10.00 plus postage. SOLD!
