This was found on Dave's most recent trip to southern NB. As you can see, it almost looks like a type of grooved base. On the far left is the outside of the skirt, then there's a tiny sliver removed, then the base slopes deeply down (up if the insulator was standing the right way), then has a little bump, then the inside of the skirt is actually curved slightly towards the outer edge. I'll post another pic as well, this piece actually looks more of a deep blue/aqua mix then the aqua this pic shows. Any ideas? Dave and I have thought a grooved base 143, but it doesn't look exactly like the grooved bases we've seen. Also the very "sharp" edge of the base, and the funny texture of the suface(especially the inner side of the skirt), make it a complete mystery to us. Please help!! Dave will hopefully be going back to this spot soon, maybe he'll remember the folding shovel this time!! |
