Only in Connecticut - in the frenzy to reduce electrical usage in this state, the town of Salisbury has converted their incandescent street lights to compact fluorescent, rather than upgrading the fixtures to metal halide or sodium. In this weekend refuge for New Yorkers, I guess they wanted to preserve the "rural character" of the town by not increasing light levels. Bulb looks like a 300 watt equivalent. Will take some better pics soon.
