This insulator caused quite a stir at the Placerville show. It is a CD 214 Unembossed insulator with a slight smokey color much like the ginger ale color but on an ice/tint level of intensity. The first thing I made note of was the drips being just like the Telegraphos. It also has the Mold Line ground away where the excess glass escaped the mold around the base line (Telegraphos are known for this excess glass still attatched). Everything to me points to Telegraphos make, but there are some big differences in the style variation. The wire groove is far different than typically found on the Telegraphos (Though with the Telegraphos we found many variations in the character traits of the mold styles). Anyone care to chime in, Caleb? By the way the piece was purchased at a flea market in California. Any help in ID'ing the maker would be great info and will be shared for documentation purposes and learning. Thank you all for any help.
