One of the few old poles remaining from the former private utility (Mountain States Power Co.) that served the area of Tillamook County, Oregon, located on the N. Oregon coast. The Tillamook Peoples Utility District (TPUD) which is public power, took over operation in the entire county in 1961. This, and the following poles shown, date from the early 1950's. Since they are still in good condition, TPUD sees no reason to replace them yet.
