Here's a really attractive mottled brown porcelain telegraph insulator from Chile. Comes embossed with a bold T and a pair of leaves on a very attractive shield. The reverse has another, larger shield with interesting markings [id=189205896 ]. 2 7/8 x 3 7/8 tall. Very crudely made: the inner skirt looks as if it was glaze welded into place or at least carved out by hand to make it deeper! VNM shape with only 2 tiny match head flakes.
