We started our hunt here on an old section of a Soo Line route recently converted to a bike and ATV trail. This line was shut down in the early 1990's and removed a couple of years later. This is a view from our starting point where it crosses the Mississippi river. Nice view! I have found mostly common insulators along the line and a few U-148's without the SOO marking(I believe they are U-148s). I am hoping to maybe find one sooner or later. The poles are still up with a few remaining insulators, but most are the victims of hunters and so on.
