Markings on the outside of the crate containing Whitall Tatum CD 107's. The "crossed flags" symbol on the lower left is that used by the Army Signal Corps. It is likely these were a part of the military purchase during the reconstruction in Europe and Japan after WWII. (The insulator date codes indicate they were manufactured in 1947.) After the Purchased Order ran out, they were sold as War Surplus and this small phone company bought a number of them in 1952 or shortly thereafter. They have likely been sitting here ever since then. The other markings indicate they are IN-12 insulators, 100 ea., and packed in February of 1952.
