Yessir, folks this pole is alive and appears to be doing quite well despite his age. About the coolest pole I've ever 'found', it still has a broken toll insulator on it, and I'm pretty confident that the crossarm was a salvage item from 'The Poles Of 1900' (see my recent hunts & finds posting), which means it's been on this tree since 1902 or so. Apparently once part of a phone circuit to a mine we have been hunting around, it's on permanent display near Idaho Springs, Colorado. As you can see, this old tree is doing it's best to swallow everything up.
