Great image looking back around 105 years ago upon this quaint and tranquil Maine town with its neat open wire telephone lines lining the street. I'm not sure but this may have been New Eng. Tel. & Tel. Co. country at this locale when this picture was taken. Opposed to the smaller independent (or "ma-and-pa") telephone companies that were scattered around New England in the telephone industry's early years.
