A very ancient insulator from Italian telegraphs. Split crown and high wire groove were typical of early telecommunication insulators in this Country. The pinhole terminates about 2/3 height of the insulator, leaving a massive block of porcelain between wire and pin. The age of this specimen is about 120/130 years.
