Here's a trio of Diamond 102s to represent thee of the major junk-in-glass varieties {carbon swirls and foreign objects excluded}. On the left is actually a No Name CD 102 in the [050] embossing style. You can see what's special about this one - a prominant blotch of amber swirlies in the side of the skirt. A winner for certain, as it's also in VVVNM condition! In the middle is a [060] Diamond CD 102 in light aqua. This one is absolutely chalk full of tiny bubbles/fizz. Even in this white-background photo you can see them jump out at you! You should see the thing underlit! This is also the embossing style with the really thin diamond embossed underneathe the more prominant Diamond. As a bonus, the dome piece of the mould was also out of alignment, and the dome is visible off centre when displayed from the front. The only damage is a 5/8" by 3/16" base flake off the front base, just below and to the right of the embossing. On the right is a [040] Diamond with a few milky swirlies. This one is not nearly as prominant as the others. Unfortunately milky 102s don't turn up as frequently around here as in some other parts of the country. Still, the milk is noticeable, and if you don't have an example, this one will do until you turn one up. The milk runs around the dome, at the top of the pinhole mostly, and a few streaks run down into the pinhole. Can't see any thing wrong with this one, so it's VVVNM, as well! I'm asking $14 U.S. plus shipping for the trio. All proceeds go to our trip across Canada to the west coast and back through the NW and central U.S.. Help some poor, unfortunate teenagers leave their flat, glacial plains geography and see some real sunsets out in the rockies! I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or any one I've dealt with before. All the best! |
