Another large (about 3.5 KG / 7 3/4 pounds) glass power insulator from France, this one appeared as "buy it now" on E-bay, and of course, I couldn't resnst ;-) VHT-20 is the model number, 08 is probably the mold number. Diameter about 8.5 inches, height about 6.5 inches (from my somewhat fuzzy recall of the line drawing in GIFONA). VHT, stands for Verre Haute Tension (Glass, High Voltage).

This one arrived on 7/5/07, the actual cost was 11 dollars, but the shipping from France was 44 bucks. The packing job was absolutely atrocious, but it somehow arrived intact, in VVNM condition.

This insulator looks remarkably similar to this one which was recently listed in the "fore sale" gallery. which gives a great side view of this insulator. [id=184189158]
