For your consideration this afternoon is an example of the [020] Pointed Dome STAR CD 145. I'm not really too sure about the scarcity of this style overall, but I have to say relative to other STAR styles, they're pretty tough. I haven't seen a whole lot of them around... and I don't think I've seen any others around in a colour such as this lovely amber-streaked green colour!

The condition is good, with a 1/4" ping on the front dome, and another just like it on the rear, a 1/8" tiny flake off the front (or rear!) upper wire ridge, and a 7/8" discoloured fan crack in the rear base being the only damage. It sounds worse than it is, believe me. I've had it happily on display for 5 years now - ever since I acquired it from Rick Soller at my first ever insulator swap! Now I'm passing it along. Actually, looking at it, there's also a medium open bubble in the rear base - who considers open bubbles damage, anyways?

The piece books at $20-30, so I'm letting it go for $18 U.S. plus shipping. All proceeds go to our trip across Canada to the west coast and back through the NW and central U.S.. Help some poor, unfortunate teenagers leave their flat, glacial plains geography and see some real sunsets out in the rockies! ;)
