Anyone in the CT area, especially in the Norfolk vicinity might want to keep this photo in mind when scratching around for old telegraph insulators. This photo was taken in 1909 and shows the RR depot as well as the landscape in the background (great for using for a reference point today!). The line looks like it had a six pin crossarm as well as one or two side pins. There have been some spectacular telegraph insulator finds in CT and goodness knows what lines like these have buried in the soil along them from a century or so ago!
