After passing up 3 or 4 road side antique/Junk shops on our way out east last weekend, my son and his buddy finally let me stop at Rosies Antiques if I promised to make it quick. I jumped out, went right over to the lady, who just had to be Rosie, uncovering the goods outside the shop. Being short on time, I skipped the small talk and simply asked if she had any unique insulators. She said she had plenty of commons that came of the local lines, but only 2 that she considered unique. She disappeared for a minute and came back with a comon porcelain that she says was hit by lightening (I couldn't see anything) and this CD 151 Dark Green with milk. She said that she had someone bring 4 of them in on consignment a couple of days before, and that a person had bought 3 and said he was coming right back for this last one. I guess she figured giving him 2 days was enough and sold it to me. She said the price was based on "The Book" but all I can figure is it must have been the TIBBITTS GUIDE. I've put it next to my emerald green (which came from a DAV thrift shop 2 years ago) for comparison. Funny how things work out sometimes. I had planned to get to Brents show last weekend, but my son, Matthew had a race out east Colorado . Seems, either way I was destined to end up with some glass. (one doors closes so another can open) Thannks for looking, Dan
