I had been busy running around taking pictures. When I returned to my table, Sandy Beutle called my name, and as I turned, got my picture taken. Good friends, Sandy and Frank Beutle had driven down from Kelowna, B.C.for the show. I should explain the T-shirt. Those are Sockeye salmon in spawning colours of green head and crimson red body making their way up stream. The picture commerates the world famous Adams River Sockeye spawning run of over 8 million salmon. Truly an amazing sight to see. The salmon, not me.

Beside me is my insulator hunting buddy Dave Fleishman . We left Merritt, B.C., at 07.30, and arrived about 14.30 with time out for lunch. We brought a full truck load including several strings of glass and porcelain suspension insulators. Passing through customs was interesting as neither side knew what insulators really were. Fibre optics they know, insulators, forget it, so It always makes passing through customs a bit of a show and tell.
