CD 151 [140] H.G. CO. / PATd MAY 2, 1893 / PETTICOAT in a snowy aqua. I called this one a duck bill because some of the embossing features look to be a little out of the ordinary. First, the G in HG looks like A C with a small V attached to make it a G. It looks like a little duck bill or bird's mouth. The embossing almost looks like a combo of well formed numbers and letters and those typical hand done 2nd, 1893. The C in CO has a seriff on the top and looks almost out of place with the rest of the embossing. The PETTICOAT on the back is sloppy with the TT being spaced further apart. The inner skirt also extended beyond the outer skirt in areas. The inner skirt has a handfull of partially chipped drips. The outer skirt has a chip under Petticoat that takes out about 7 drips. There is also a bruise that affects 5 others. All damage is really confined to the drip points. The rest of the surface is actually quite nice. Price guide lists this color @ $200- $250. I am offering this one today for $35.00 plus actual shipping. First email. This should also go fast. I promise to give it a proper acid bath before I ship. I didn't get a chance to clean this one yet. |
