Clear glass Italian CD 698 "Frog" Insulator, dissected

This is after the cleaning, the separate top and bottom sections, and the small plastic bag contains the wiring hardware, which appears to be of stainless steel, as there was no rust or corrosion. As with most of this type of insulator, there is some damage to the threaded portion of the lower section. Threading the two sections together is a bit difficult, without the glass getting "stuck". I tried some light coating of vaseline on the threads, it helped somewhat. Have to be careful, don't want to break or chip the glass on this beauty!
