Here is a shot of the CD 124 No Name Crescent [015] (on right) and the Hemingray [040] on the left. Both appear to be made from the same mold. I have done masks of them and I'd bet the farm they were from the same mold. See the backwards 4 on the dome, and the bar? That bar lines up perfectly with the bar on the Hemingray piece. The skirt crescent on the other side (seen here: [id=111418519] ) also lines up perfectly when masked, although on the Hemingray one the crescent is blotted out, but you can see artifacts of it.

Now, who made the crescents?? I know of two of the crescents that are "Hemingray aqua" like the one shown here. Most of them are celery/light lime green which is a typical color for Covington, KY made glass like CD 120's. I have masks that indicate the crescent mold was made into the Hemingray [040], so what's so mysterious?

Parts of CD 124's have been dug at the King City Glass Works Fairmount, Indiana factory site. The KCGW's demise was just about the time Hemingray was moving their factory to Muncie, Indiana from Covington. Maybe that mold was sold to Hemingray, maybe it was Hemingray all along. Let me know if you have any additional information on this enduring mystery.
