The picture above is an oil filled porcelain insulator used on a 20KV 400Amp circuit in Germany. It is now out of service and laying on the ground along with parts of 2-3 towers. I passed by these today (04-25-2007). These are located just Outside Farchach in Bavaria Germany about 20Km SW from Munich . The insulator is part of the termination from an underground feed from the tower that was itself oil filled as well.
