Here is a very interesting "what is it" that came out of a New Hampshire antique shop. Nothing that I`ve ever seen before and was wondering if there is any help out there in Icon land. The glass looks old and is full of seed bubbles. The base measures 3 1/2"x 2 3/4" and stands 2" tall. The groove is 1" across and 1/2" deep. The metal plateis stamped BUR`S and PATENT is in smaller letters. The U in BUR`S looks like a horseshoe. It is quite heavy, weighing 1 3/4 lbs. There is some base chipping on three sides.
