Well- you see nails every once in a while, but with a "42" being so new, it is extremly rare to see inclusions of this magnitude within. The nail was made of a softer metal, so some of it was dissolved, but the pocket is still there, filled with the impurities left behind. The nail of the head is seperate from the shaft of the nail, and being thicker did not dissolve as much. It appears to be a 4 or 6 penny trim nail. The insulator itself is VNM w/ some light hazing on the "Made in USA" side, as it was found in the dirt near Franklin, NC. This is a great piece I am making available to ICONers.
