McLaughlin CD 154 short or tall?

This excellent post from Stanley Klein appeared in the ICON digest: My question is- How tall (in inches) is tall and how short (in inches) is short in the CD 154 McLAUGHLIN? I have only one, so I have nothing to compare it to. It is either a [010] or [015]. Thank you, Stanley

The McDougald price guide listings to which Stanley is referring are these:

[010] (Dome) [Number] (F-Skirt) McLAUGHLIN (R-Skirt) No 42 {Short mold style} RDP

and

[015] (Dome) [Number] (F-Skirt) McLAUGHLIN (R-Skirt) No 42 {Tall mold style} RDP

In fact, there are several separate price guide listings for McLaughlin CD 154 that are essentially the same, with the only difference being the {Tall mold style} or {Short mold style} notation.

In my experience, the difference in height (in inches or cm) can be subtle. However, you should be able to tell pretty easily which style you have by looking at the shape of the dome. The shape, will look either short and kind of squatty, or long and tall.

McLaughlin experts may want to weigh in (please contact me if you have information and I'll add it to this post).
