We have a planter on a stand right outside the door, and this is the second set of babies in less than two months...Doves mate for life, and we have recorded that it takes 21 days (3 Weeks) for the eggs to hatch...They are 9 days old !! The mother started to leave the nest two days ago, and in a few days, the babies will be brought out of the nest and taught to fly...After they are out of the nest, they stay out...They sleep on the ground, and after a few days, they are able to fly away...Even though they can fly, all the babies stay around our house...Its really cool to see the little guys grow up!
