The pole is one span from the main road at the end of a long driveway. A church parking lot is on the right and explains the reason for the big light mounted on the pole. The crossarm is just for mounting the drop down fuse cutout only. This was a common arrangement back in the '50's but later, it was realized that the wooden arm was not needed and the cutout could be mounted on a pole bracket instead. The transformer has seen a lot of Oregon rain and sure shows it. It's the ugliest thing in the photo and must have been embarassing to the utility......It's an RTE....Rust 'Til Eternity!
