How's this for a rusty pole transformer? This P.G.E. Co. (Portland General Electric Co.) pole has been in the air since the mid 1950's. I have been watching it for at least 30 years, since it's just off a road I use a lot. I have seen this pole lean over more and more over the years and the pole pig has been rusty for a long long time. Finally, a new pole arrived. Soon, this can will be on the ground for good. The transformer is an RTE (rust 'til eternity), made by a local company in the 1950's here in Oregon. Either they ran hot and burned off the paint, or the paint was bad in the first place, or both. I have seen many of these with the paint burned and PGE has replaced a lot of them over the years. Well, they finally got this one!
