I live a couple of miles from the Folsom Power Plant in Folsom, CA. The GE U-701 and U-935A were known to have been used either within the plant or on its distribution lines. The U-701 was found along the Sacramento River, an area known as an old dumping ground, some time ago. The U-935A came from Utah and was found along a power line that went to a mine. So. . . can pretty much assume that the U-701 was from the original power line from Folsom, CA. to Sacramento. The U-935A did come from Utah but is the same type of insulator used here. Fun to have two early dry-processed insulators that I can associate with my home town and it's early electrical history. dry-processed dog ^..^ |
