From Eastern Europe, or the former Soviet Union. The straw / peach one has embossing with letters resembling K V J L T, inside of a shield outline. The green one has stylized letters E K O surrounded by a circle. See next two photos for close-up views. I've posted these in past years, still trying to get a positive ID on these two. There is a third item, same size / CD, in very "clean", blue aqua glass, which may be from Poland.

Update 25 March 2010: Thanks to Donald Mecklenborg, these insulators have been identified. see [id=274044225] The letters J, L and T stand for Johannes Lorup, Tarbeklaas, Scankristall and Glasstone. The J. Lorup glass factory was called Meleski prior to 1926 It is from Viljandi County, Estonia.

The EKO embossed insulator is from Eldapere, Estonia, and was produced during the 1920s

A better view of this is: [id=92132011]

and the EKO is here: [id=92131712]
