This one is a recent "discovery" from Italy. I'll call it a "green frog" but it can also be considered as a "spook" or a "dry spot", it has two sections which screw together, and the pinhole is totally threadless. The bottom section has three slots to allow wire connections under the top part. Overall height and diameter are about the same dimensions as a CD 154. It is umembossed, and has no identifying markings, probably manufactured by MIVA in the 1920s or 1930s. This one definitely merits a new CD number... I had posted a smaller photo of this one a few weeks ago. In this particular example, the inner "skirt" extends beyound the base.

(Jan 10, 2009) I have been informed that this is assigned the designation of CD 698.

Nora has a similar insulator in clear or loght aqua glass posted [id=155905150]

I have seen, and handled, one of these in clear glass, complete with the original metal hardware. No identifying markings on this one, either.
