Another piece of Canadian glass with a lot of history behind it. Originally commissioned to be produced by the Whitall Tatum company for the Canadian National Railway (or Canadian Northern Railway... I can't recall which), Whitall Tatum said the manufacturing process wouldn't be practical, and the design of the pieces wasn't feasible. Dominion undertook the task, and manufactured quite a number of them. I've never turned too many up, though. This example came from a yard sale in a small town nearby. The colour is a lovely peach, the embossing style is Diamond CD 154 [030], and the damage is limited to a 1" wire groove chip on the rear right upper wire ridge, the outer 1/2" of which is flat, and barely visible. There are also 2 chipped drips on the front skirt directly below the embossing. I'm asking $6 U.S. plus shipping for this unusual and infeasible insulator specimen. I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. All the best!
