A piece which has turned up but twice in my journies to antique stores across Ontario, this unusual light jade aqua Brookfield is startlingly different ing lass transparency than a regular Brookfield CD 102, though it doesn't share the same opaque-nature as a jade H.G.Co. CD 145. The embossing style is [030], with a large "X2" on the dome - the same mould as the only other similarly translucent piece I have turned up. The condition is not bad. There are 11 chipped drips, and a 3/8" chip on the left lower wire ridge directly behind the mould line. All else I can see is a 1/4" ping on the right side of the dome. The piece displays very well. The glass is full of little pieces of potstone, and tiny bubbles, as well as the fine milk swirls that give the piece the unusual jade colouration. I'm asking $30.00 U.S. plus shipping for this odd piece scarcely encountered in the world of Brookfield ponies. I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before.
