Hemingray certainly made some teriffic colors when it came to insulators and the amber one shown here is truly no exception. It is shown next to a light green example. Although the latter is not rare, only a handful (a dozen or so?) amber No.8s are known in the hobby. It is believed that most of these originated in Nebraska on a rural open-wire telephone system years ago.
