These two still show their years of service in the form of some slight graphite deposits on the inner skirts. What better way to show their history? Alright, granted they're a few years newer than most insulators, but both these styles always appealed to me greatly - they're pretty oddly shaped! Both the [050] Whitall Tatum CD 272 on the left and the [015] Pyrex CD 235 on the right are in great shape. The 235 has the large, hand-scribed letters described in the price guide, and it's damage is limited to a 1/8" half fisheye on the rear half of the right ear. The colour is clear, with a very, very slight lemon tint. The CD 272 is a heavier piece, and, accordingly, does not have any damage that I can see. It's colour is an off clear shade with a slight pink influence. I'm asking $7 U.S. plus shipping for this pair of hydroelectric workhorses. I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. All the best! |
