Up for sale is a pair of later generation Brookfields - one quite scarce, and the other with an unusual disposition. It's my understanding that the round base, style numbered pieces are the last generation of Brookfield insulators produced, and that in many cases, they are very dificult to locate. The 162 on the left is one I picked from a box of insulators at a local yard sale last year, and it is the only one I've turned up in the immediate area. It is the [240] embossing style with the No. 36 on the rear skirt. It is a green aqua colour caused by amber swirling throughout the aqua glass, and it's most unusual feature is in that the pinhole is approximately 1/4" off centre! This is somewhat visible in the photo, but it doesn't quite do the piece justice! The condition is good, with just a 1/2" scratched area on the rear dome, and a 1/8" ping on the front dome. The mould number is 11. The 152 on the right is just plain unusual. I found one pole on the local CP line which had 10 of them on it 2 years ago. They are the only examples of this numbered Brookfield CD 152 I have ever found, and I have been told by the 152 guru himself, Dave French, that they are an unusual and scarce piece! The colour is the same as the 162. The embossing is the [070] embossing style with the backwards 'N' in "No. 48" on the rear skirt. The condition is good with just a little bit of flaking on the inside edge of the round base on the rear skirt. The mould number is 3. I'm asking $6 U.S. each plus shipping, or $10 U.S. plus shipping for the two of them. I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or from anyone I've dealt with before. All the best!
