As you may have heard, Kansas City and most of the Midwest was hit by a severe ice storm at the beginning of February, 2002. There were widespread power outages throughout the area - some were without power for over a week. I took a few photos of the power lines and poles around my home & work. This is the 12KV primary line that supplies power to my workplace. There is over an inch of ice on those lines!
