For your consideration this afternoon are a pair of shiny, beautiful dark aqua B. No.44 CD 145s, the [070] embossing style. From Brookfield's later generation of glass, came glass of quality ideal for what us collectors love. I've been told that many of Brookfield's style numbered pieces from this era are quite hard to find. The piece on the left is essentially mint, with just one 1/8" peck on the dome top. Mix that lack of any serious damage with the seed bubbles, straw marks, and graphite thingies throughout the glass, and you've got a winner! On the right, the piece is even nicer! Unfortunately, the condition is slightly worse. Although it appears to be factory-made this way, an annealing crack directly behind the left mould line has had a fragment of glass fall out of place. The chip is all on the inside of the skirt, but it is 3/4" tall and 3/8" wide at the widest. Other than that, there are 3 pings, one above, and two below the wire groove on the right side of the front. This one has a lot more amber in it than the piece on the left, with the same seed bubbles, snow, graphite things, and whatever else. I'm asking $10 U.S. plus shipping for the pair. I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. All the best! |
