This line is runs along an approximately 100 foot section of my side yard which had been so far deviod of any pole line-age nor other "displays". After some very careful planning, the time has come :-). Until last Fall! That's when I took a couple of straight, fallen trees..I skinned and treated them, just like in the days of yore for telegraph poles. And I thus planted the first two (as shown here) with the authentic "crooked" pole looks and other primitive appearance that these had. The "third" pole which will connect this line to the back corner will be set this spring. More pix will follow as time permits as well as progression with my "new" line! FYI this line will be strung with wire for functional use as telephone and intercom with the house as the rest of my functional open-wire display/line has been since the early 1980s.
