Here is an old photo of a Syracuse-Rochester Interurban car on the New York State Railways line. Notice what looks like gray glaze multipart insulators on the lattice type tower in the background. This photo was supposedly taken not too far from Syracuse NY. The line is actually along a railroad and the interurban rail line runs parallel with the railroad.
