I was driving past a line that I have gone by many times this last week. The thing that was different, was that the whole line was gone. At first, I was really disappointed because I figured all the insulators would be gone. I got out to look around and I couldn't believe it, all the polls with the insulators were still there, lying in the ditch. Who ever cut them down, must have just wanted the metal, because all the wire was gone. My first reaction was to go to the pole at the road crossing because I always remembered seeing three Hemingray 109's on that pole. I have looked at these 109's for many years everytime I drove by them. Well sure enough they were still there, but unfortunately one was really badly broken so I had to leave it, but I was still very happy to get them. My Dad and I went along this track for a long ways, but didn't find anything, We found insulators, but they were all Hemy 42's along with rubber and plastic insulators. I only found one broken H G beehive. I did get a couple Hemy 40's just so I wouldn't go home empty handed. I also found several CD 1049's, some hardware, and a number of the old Edison oil bottles.
