These two were spotted several years ago when I visited the railroad museum at Monticello, IL. They were on an old sidepin pole that followed the former IC line that the museum now runs. I thought it odd to see these two on a pole. Upon my revisit on Sept. 16th of this year, I looked at this pole again. I also rode the train. Along the way there were a number of poles, most with sidepins, a few with a two pin arm. What few insulators were left were Hemingray 42s. So I looked at this pole again, and it became clear these were shoved onto a rotted down 1" sidepin. They are at the museum grounds, so perhaps a worker some years back had some spare Pyreces and decided to decorate one of the poles.
