The Old UP Grade

This picture shows the original Union Pacific railroad grade as it crosses over the treeless landscape of Wyoming. The old road bed can be seen (center right) hooking to the center of the picture, with a fence line following some of it. Much threadless glass still remains to be found. Approximately 70 poles per mile x2 insulators per pole=140 per mile!
