Locating old lines can be just a photo postcard in a box that is of great help. Here is a close up of a line that ran along U.S. HWY 25 from Jellico, TN to La Follette, TN.(Circa 1950) Now days the two are connected by I-75 which is a straight and faster route. Hwy 25 is the "old road" that twists and turns and winds it's way between the two towns. The railroad parallels the road for most of the way. By researching topographic maps, Streets CD on computer, Official Railway Guides, etc., one can locate many possibilities where insulators could be found. Just a little research can produce the possibility of a hoard of glass being found.
