I just got this piece in a few days ago and just now, upon close inspection realized that there is a #6 buckshot BB inside this piece. This insulator is a very bold prismic HGCO signal in tough light blue colour, it is embossed HGCO/PATENT MAY 2 1893(FS)-(RS)PETTICOAT. I discovered the BB inside a drip point at the very tip, the BB caused the drip point to partially chip away exposing the top surface of the BB but leaving it permanently embedded inside the remainder of the drip. This is really cool! How often do you find buckshot ~inside~ the glass!??The pellet is located in the front side under the embossing.I'll try to get a pic of the pellet this week. Please note, buckshot is very rarely ever found inside the glass. For whatever reason, someone had buckshot mixed into this batch of glass as the glass has surrounded the shot pellet. Condition of this is, V NM cond, it has 2 small base bruises, the one drip chip being caused by the BB itself and a factory burst airbubble in the drip tips affecting 4 drips next to it and the other bruise is from 1 drip and is NGM.4 other drips have the tips flaked. Overall I would rate this insulator an 8 on a scale of 10 in condition. Glass surface is kinda orange peel textured or like a cold pour. Book on sky blue/powder blue is $350,light blue,$4-$500. How about $118 shipped for this pelleted insulator? Very unique! |
