A final long range view looking East from an open air balcony on the top floor of the new medical bldg. Kent is quite the photographer, he was leaning way out over the balcony around a support pillar to get this view. That is the Ross Island bridge to the left of photo. The small rusty looking steel pole next to the West new pole is a riser pole. The open wire goes underground at this point in new cable rated for 115,000 volts. Amazing. It comes back to overhead after it gets past a new aerial tram terminal at the north side of the medical bldg. The other end of the 2 car aerial tram terminates at a medical center complex nearly a mile up a hill at elevation 600 ft. As stated earlier, Mt. Hood IS in the center background....just getting too hazy and smoggy to see it. UPDATE----As of Nov. 22, 06 the towers have been dismantled and moved with only the lower half of the island tower standing. UPDATE-----As of Jan. 07, the risers from underground have been installed on the West new pole and the rusty steel pole and risers will be gone soon. Kent Anderson photo
