Don't ever think that LAPP had an exclusive on what we collectors call "Pumpkin Orange"! Here are 8 insulators from 4 different major manufacturers, in my collection, all in Pumpkin Orange and just in time for Halloween! From left to right, here is a VICTOR M-2430 ca. 1909, A no-name U-180-B stovepipe, probably O-B, an O-B M-2250-A, ca. 1909, A VICTOR U-670 "ballerina",ca. 1909, A LAPP M-2702 dated 1931, A THOMAS U-388 cable, A LAPP U-756 dated 1931 and a LAPP M-2605-A, 1925. The glaze on the O-B M-2250-A and the LAPP M-2702 appear identical, as if they were glazed on the same production line, yet they are some 20 years apart and by different manufacturers!
